CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE RESOLUTION NO. 1977 -182 PROHIBITING PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF HIGHWAY 89 FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE ROUTES 89 AND 50 TO THE CITY LIMITS RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South Lake Tahoe that: WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code and Section 16 -36 of the Municipal Code authorize this Cc,x -,x to establish parking restrictions; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation has concurred with such parking restrictions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY DETERMINED and ORDERED that: 1. Parking shall be prohibited as follows: a. On both sides of Highway 89 from the junction of State routes 89 and 50 to the City of South Lake Tahoe city limits, as shown on the attached Exhibit "A ". 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed to erect signs giving notice of the aforesaid restrictions within the designated area. 3. Whenever this resolution delegates authority to a city officer, or authorizes action by the City Council to regulate traffic upon a state highway in any way which by state law requires the prior approval of the Department of Transportation, no such officer shall exercise such authority nor shall such action by the City Cozmcil be effective with respect to any state highway without the prior approval in writing of the Department of Transportation when and to the extent required by Division 9 and Division 11 of the Vehicle Code. The City of South Lake Tahoe travel expense advance and reimbursement policy shall be as follows: a. Wherever possible, the City shall prepay registra- tion, lodging, transportation, and other arrangements; b.
